Simpliy Primary Care restores 30 GP practice websites in 48-hour emergency response

The Simpliy team worked around the clock to bring the websites back online. Its emergency service was offered at £100 per practice for three months, keeping the immediate cost low while practices dealt with an unexpected loss of their online presence.
Keeping patients informed when practice websites go offline
For patients, a GP practice website is often the first place to check opening hours, find contact details or understand how to request help. When that information disappears, even straightforward tasks can become confusing, while practice teams face the additional challenge of explaining alternative arrangements.
Simpliy’s emergency response focused on restoring that essential source of information. The replacement websites give practices a place to share key details, direct patients to useful links and keep their communities informed as arrangements change.
This support is particularly valuable when practices need to explain which appointment or prescription request routes remain available. A clear, up-to-date website helps patients understand what to do next and where to find the information their practice wants them to use.

A team working around the clock for primary care
The 48-hour effort brought together Simpliy’s understanding of general practice and its website delivery work, with the team concentrating on the immediate needs of practices and their patients.
Ryan Hampson-Miller, Managing Director of Simpliy Primary Care, said:
“We are very proud of our team. They worked around the clock to restore 30 practice websites in just 48 hours, and we are glad to have been able to help practices across the country and the communities they serve.
“Together, those practices care for more than 200,000 patients. Our priority was to help people find information about their practice, access useful links and stay informed at a time of uncertainty.
“We offered the emergency service at £100 for three months because we wanted to keep the immediate cost low for practices. This has been a real team effort, and we are grateful to the practice teams who worked with us to make it happen.”
The background: Silicon Practice and FootFall disruption
Silicon Practice supplied GP websites and digital patient services, including its FootFall platform, which supported patient requests and communication with practice teams. The company’s published product information described FootFall as used in more than 1,000 GP practices.
According to reporting of the administrator’s statement, Richard Paul Rendle was appointed administrator of Schappit Ltd, the company behind Silicon Practice, on 16 October 2026. The company subsequently ceased trading at 5.30pm on 27 October 2026. The disruption left affected practices needing alternative arrangements for their websites and online services.
Simpliy’s response restored practice websites, information and signposting. Clinical consultation platforms, patient records and the handling of appointment or prescription requests remain subject to each practice’s own systems and arrangements.
Affordable emergency GP website support
The £100 three-month emergency service was designed to give affected practices an affordable way to restore a patient-facing website while considering their longer-term arrangements.
