We are proud to announce that Simpliy Primary Care, as part of Simpliy Limited, has achieved two important accreditations: Cyber Essentials certification and Good Business Charter accreditation.

Although these accreditations focus on different aspects of our organisation, together they reflect a simple principle: our clients should be able to trust both how we protect their information and how we conduct our business.

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification scheme designed to help organisations protect themselves against the most common types of cyberattack.

Certification requires organisations to demonstrate appropriate controls across five key areas:

• Firewalls
• Secure configuration
• Security update management
• User access control
• Malware protection

For an organisation working closely with GP practices, Primary Care Networks and other healthcare providers, information security is not simply a technical consideration—it is a fundamental responsibility.

Our Cyber Essentials certification demonstrates that we have taken practical, recognised steps to protect our devices, systems, accounts and services. It complements our existing Data Security and Protection Toolkit Standards Exceeded status and supports our wider commitment to secure, dependable digital services.

No certification removes every cyber risk, which is why security remains an ongoing process. We will continue reviewing our systems, strengthening our controls and responding to changes in technology and emerging threats.

What is the Good Business Charter?

The Good Business Charter recognises organisations that demonstrate responsible business behaviour across 10 areas:

• Environmental responsibility
• Paying fair tax
• Commitment to customers
• Ethical sourcing
